Hardware
Four posts where the problem was not in software. Small, but the tag earns its place because these are the ones with photographs in them.
Three come from the same 2021 build: an Inkplate 10 e-ink display mounted on a wall, its battery life measured over three weeks rather than guessed at, and a grayscale JPG it would not render until the encoding changed. Alongside it, an ESP32 wired to a DHT22 for temperature and humidity — the wiring, the pin choice, the firmware, and why the thing came off the wall again.
The fourth is older and different in kind: an i5-3570k against an i7-8700k, benchmarked with real games as well as synthetic scores, because at the time nobody had compared those two on anything but 3DMark. It is from 2018 and both chips are long superseded, so read it as a method for deciding whether an upgrade is worth it rather than as current buying advice.
